NEW! Regal Eagle Smokehouse in Epcot's America Pavilion
About a week before the parks temporarily closed, Sean and I were able to experience the newest addition to one of our favorite parks, Epcot! And let me tell you, Disney did the dang thing when they put this smokehouse into the America Pavilion! The new smokehouse is appropriately named the Regal Eagle, which in my humble opinion, I think describes America to a T. They designed the smokehouse to celebrate the regions of America's backyard BBQ and craft beers. Or, everything that makes America, America.
For entrees, you can expect to see your typical barbecue style food, Smoked Chicken, Dry-rub Pork Ribs, Smoked Pork Butt Platter, and Beef Brisket Sandwich! They also offer a plant-based option, a BBQ Jackfruit Burger!
Most entrees come with your choice of side, and you have lots to choose from! Beer Battered Onion Rings, Creamy Coleslaw, Garlic Toast, Macaroni & Cheese, Baked Beans with Burnt Ends, Seasoned French Fries and House-made Pickles!
Kara ordered the Beef Brisket Sandwich, with a side of Macaroni and Cheese. The Beef Brisket Sandwich was described as "Rubbed with our Secret Brisket Rub then slow-smoked and smothered in Spicy Mop Sauce, and placed between Garlic Toast and served with your choice of side." Heres a pic:
The Beef Brisket was juicy, melt in your mouth, and the spicy mop sauce was the perfect ending to it! Kara added some spicy sweet barbecue sauce, which made it even better.
Sean ordered the BBQ Burger with a side of Macaroni and Cheese, which was described as "1/3 lb Angus Burger on Garlic Toast, topped with BBQ Pork and Fried Onion Ring served with your choice of side." Heres a pic:
Sean said he never tasted a burger in a Disney park as good as this burger. We both agreed that the macaroni and cheese and garlic toast tied as the focal point of the meal. Admittedly, we're drooling writing this post, wishing we could just pop in for a quick bite!
They give you a bunch of different types of sauce to choose from. (I tried to get a picture, but it was VERY busy when we went).
We didn't get to try any dessert either, but you can finish with a banana pudding, S'mores brownie or a watermelon fruit cup!
The atmosphere and food were so great and we cant wait to go back! I think stopping for a side of Mac and cheese in America is going to become a thing for us, now! So let me know, is this something you'd try?
